Hi can I have a private post please.
My in laws have started looking after my 2 children on a Saturday whilst I’m at work and my husband goes and does his own thing for the afternoon (plays a sport). Now I’m not sure if I’m being stupid, but I didn’t pick them up till gone 5, but is it wrong to think they’d automatically give them a bit of tea? After I’d got them my eldest said she was so hungry she had really bad tummy pains, and at one point i thought she was going to pass out in the car. So I shot to Mc Donald’s and was so stressed as it was packed. They didn’t get to eat till 6.30 (which personally I think is quite late). But I just feel like they’re not really interested in looking after them. They can be quite hectic when they’re together but at the same time they’re lovely kids. I’m not sure what to do this Saturday coming. Shall I send them with some food that can just be warmed up in the microwave (like a spag bol). I was so upset yesterday. Just really felt bad for my 2 kids xx

  • Maybe just say, do you mind giving them a bit of dinner as you don’t end up getting home until late, see what they say. If that doesn’t work maybe take them a little packed dinner for them to have, but I’d definitely expect them to have eaten at gone 5
