Hi can I have a private post please?

My son was 2 in April and behind in his speech, so as a result he screams to communicate. He screams when he’s happy, when he’s hungry, when he’s throwing a tantrum, when he’s playing, at his sister etc etc. I live in a terraced house and yday the neighbour came and complained to my husband about his ‘constant screaming and banging’. She says his waking at night wakes her son up as their walls are next to each other. I don’t know what to do. Does she think I enjoy listening to him scream? We have already got the health visitor involved as I was concerned about it and she said simply ignore every scream until he learns it doesn’t get him attention. He takes about 2 hours to go to sleep, health visitor suggested leaving him to cry it out…. which still doesn’t work. I get she’s frustrated but I don’t know what else I’m supposed to do. I already feel anxious to go out places because he’s such hard work and now I feel uncomfortable in my own home. I also suffer with fibromyalgia so some days I am forced to stay in with him. Any advice would be amazing as I’m terrified of upsetting my neighbour any more over something I’m not sure how to control!
