Hi can i have a private post please?
There are being built some council houses in my area and i have been on the waiting list a long time i was wondering if anyone knows if it is possable to apply for one due to medical conditions? ( if u can even apply) I have 3 slipped discs (confirmed through and MRI ) and i am a single parent so i need to live close to my mum who helps me out loads! And one of these council houses would be ideal i know there are far more serious conditions than what i have but i need to live close to my mum Xx

No you can’t apply on medical grounds.
You could always private rent near your mum.
Council housing normally works on banding and priority so there probs people waiting even longer. Maybe give the council a call and see where u are in regards to priority on the houses
It really depends on the area you live in. The only ones who can answer are your local hoysing department at the council where you live. Give them a call. They will explain what to do if you can apply.
Try it what’s the worst they can do is say no x
