Hi can I have a private post please?
Has anybody ever had an endoscopy done? I’m booked in for one tomorrow and have been taking moviprep today, am I able to take ibuprofen? It’s too late to call the hospital and ask? Also if anybody has , were you sedated or not? Just wondering which is best, thank you x

If it is the endoscopy via the throat to the stomach it is up to you. I have had three to date and none with sedation as had to go back to work after procedure.
I was sedated by choice. They usually ask u if u want sedation or not but cos im autistic it was safer for all for me to be sedated. U have to fast as well from night before. No water allowed either
