  • Heat works well for the first 24hours after that use a cold bag of peas wrapped in a teatowel – 20minuts on 20minutes off – it’s a traumatic thing to have done. Soft foods nothing with bits in or that require a lot of chewing.
You can also dissolve 1/2 teaspoon of salt in a cup of warm water and gently rinse after ever meal to help reduce the bacterial load in the mouth and aid healing. Hope you get some relief soon 😘

  • If you feel like the pain killers aren’t hitting it and the pain is still the same after a few days go back, it might be infected. It would need cleaned out. I had to get mine cleaned out twice and then bed rest before it started to heal.

  • Best way to regulate is alternate the pain killers every couple of hours that way as one starts to ware of the other kicks. I work with GP’s all day and that’s their advice on pain relief.

  • Paracetamol yes. Ibroprofen no. You can only have 3 doses in 24 hours, which works out 2tablets every 8 hours. You can’t have anymore until 12.50am when24 hours has been. Paracetomol u can have 4 lots in 24 hours, so works out every 6 hours. X

  • You can alternate 2 paracetamol and then 2 ibuprofen every 2 hours, I had all 4 wisdom teeth out at once and I did this and was told to do so by the nurses at the hospital. So you can take 2 paracetamol now, 2 ibuprofen at 9:30 and then 2 paracetamol at 11:30 if you’re still awake then

  • My surgeon told me to take ibuprofen and paracetamol together after I had a tooth extracted last year. Salt water rinses or Corsydl. Keep a watch out for dry socket (more common with wisdom teeth removals due to the difficulty). You’ll have heightened pain,a bad taste in your mouth, you may see exposed bone. I had this after mine last year and it was awful

  • You can take paracetamol but instead of paracetamol I’d try cocodamol. Do not take paracetamol and cocodamol at the same time as they both contain paracetamol.

  • You can take more paracetamol just now then more brufen before bed. You should start to feel better tomorrow

  • Try oregel to numb it aswell it’s 6 quid odd for a.tiny tube but it’s well worth the money when it gets too bad xx

  • Take 2 paracetamol and 2 ibuprofen every 4 hours that should ease the pain x

  • Yes you can take more, if the pain is really bad at the moment you can have 2x paracetamol and 2x ibuprofen.

  • The guidelines of how much you can take will be on the packet or the leaflet inside the packet

  • Leave the paracetamol and take cocodamol instead Hun ( that’s if you aren’t pregnant ) take them before the pain starts good luck I feel your pain xx
