Hi, could i get a private post please, …..me and my partner of 6 years are wanting to start trying for baby number two when i get my coil out this month, i am currently working 16 hours a week and my partner works full time well 32+ depending on overtime, when i hopefully have my other child i’m wanting to take a year off work so i can look after the baby as with my last child my mother in law didn’t work so i was able to go back to work after my maternity ended but this time around i won’t have any one to look after the baby wile i’m at work … my question is i’m worried financially that i may struggle i have worked every since leaving school and with my partner working 32+ hours a week what would we be entitled to i have tried using the calculator but with me not actually pregnant yet or on maternity I’ve no idea what to put in. so was just wondering if any one on here was in the same or similar situation, also i’m wanting to try and work it all out so i can see if were going to be able to financially have another child . thanks no bashing please.
