Hi could I get this posted privately to right page please ?
Anyone else feel smothered by their inlaws ?
I’ve got a 3 yr old son and I’m due in 11 weeks.
How Can I tell them to back off for a bit?

So far
* they asked what I was getting him for Xmas ( stuff he’s asked for) and then went and brought every item he’s asked for including the main present I was getting him
* she’s turned up to my daughters heartbeat check uninvited and then splashed it all over fb without asking me first
* she admitted she only came to the hospital so she didn’t have to go to work
* she’s diabetic so I offered her lunch whilst at the hospital she said no and then when her oh asked if she’d ate she said no and so she couldn’t go to work ( bear in mind there both diabetic and drink every night and eat chocolate cake etc everyday and push sweets and chocolate on my son instead of proper food when he’s hungry

* the Xmas jumper I showed her for my son she’s brought in 2 sizes too big and more clothes in 2 sizes too big and has given him them before Xmas ( aswell as 2 pairs of dr martens and a £100 hot wheels track) despite me telling her to give it all as Xmas presents ( I don’t want him being spoilt I’ve not brought him up that way)
* yesterday she turns up at my house uninvited and I just happened to mention I was going to get a tree tomorrow from Wilkinson’s and I find out she’s been in the shop to have a look and then text my partner saying there’s none there I’m a lier and I have to get one from Argos 😱 this might sound pathetic but I feel like everything I do or say she has an opinion on. They always speak over me when I’m around them and they try and treat me like I’m dumb his dad thinks he’s always right and recently it’s like there doing anything they can to have my son every day. I’ve told my partner I feel like I’m being smothered and I want them to back off just for a month or so before babies due as I know it’s going to get worse as she’s born but he’s ignoring what I’m saying he thinks I’m just hormonal. All these things have happened in the past month, there’s so much more they’ve done but it’s too long. Sorry for the rant but any ideas how I can slyly tell her to back off ? Tia x
