Hi could I have a private post please? It’s a long one but really need advice.
On Saturday me and my partner were out separately until 4am, when he phoned me saying he was coming home so I also went home when I’ve got home he’s accused me of cheating on him took my key from my hand went in the house and locked me out, after trying to get him to let me in with no luck I ended up phoning the police which I now regret as they are trying to treat is as domestic abuse as he took my key from me and I’ve ended up in hospital for one of my fingers, they came to see me this morning and I’ve told them I don’t want to press charges etc and want to forget about it but they’re saying they need a statement from him. They have since been to my home and his family’s with two vans and a few officers to try find him to ‘question’ him. I just want this to stop is there anything I can do?

If police feel there was DV then no u can’t do anything, they can still press charges and u will be called as a witness- even if u don’t want to be one- they get witness warrants.
His best bet is to speak to them xx
