Hi, could I have a private post please? Nbr. Has anyone experienced having a long term persistent phlegmy cough? In a week or so I would have had a phlegmy chesty cough for nearly 4 months straight. It’s persistent, no week break then another cough etc just constant cough. I’ve no other symptoms to suggest flu/colds no runny nose etc. It’s getting to the point I can’t laugh because the coughing fit becomes worse, chest pain, abit breathlessness etc the phlegm is sometimes white, sometimes green. I’ve not had the chance to see a GP yet as I had my 3rd baby in march, he had problems himself with being born early. (I even had a cough that bad during labour I kept causing me to have even worse contractions etc)

Then we moved house & now our new doctors have a month waiting list until I’m registered. Hospital hasn’t been an option as of yet & I hate going unless it’s urgent, which a constant cough to me doesn’t warrant wasting the hospitals time. I’m in my early 20s, I’ve never smoked & I hardly ever drink. when I’ve been to the GP in regards to my son, I always see the leaflets that say ‘have you suffered from a cough for more than 3 weeks? If so, please speak to your doctor’ across the front of them but I don’t know what they say as I panic it’s going to say something bad & I start to over think šŸ™ˆ

i know I need to see the GP but as I said before I’m not booked in until the 12th July. so I know it’s odd but has anyone suffered with a constant cough before & it’s turned out to be something as simple as having asthma etc? As I’m starting to worry x
