Hi could I have a private post please? Need some advice on how to apply for child maintenance my ex now has a steady job but I don’t know his hours or how much he is earning a week he has never payed anything for his son who is now 18 months has him 1/2 nights a week and doesn’t have to buy anything for me as I provide everything does anyone know is I am entitled to anything or a back payment please xxx

If he has him for 52 nights a year consecutively it’s classed as joint parental responsibility & he won’t pay as much , I think it’s 20% of his earnings for one child , I could be wrong as it may have changed
Ring csa ask for a deductions of earnings.they take it from his wages before he even gets paid and then it’s transferred to you.so easy and means you get the money on time every month x
You wont get a back payment. It will start from when you apply. So depending on how long it all takes you might get a week or twos worth in one go x
