Hi could I have a private post please? So I’ve never really liked my partners fam, we’ve been together 7 years & all they do is make snide comments about my parenting skills, how I treat my partner, how fat I got through both pregnancies, literally anything they will bitch about me behind my back & it’s not just me, They don’t like his brothers girlfriend either & also never have a good word to say about her, she’s always the bad one etc. Anyway I don’t go to visit his fam very often as quite frankly I don’t like them or how they treat me plus they’ve never really took anything to do with our kids (they’ve seen them 3 times max this year) everytime I go visit them they ALWAYS have something to say about my weight! I’ve always been a slim size 6-8 & throughout both pregnancies they made me feel like shit, constantly looking horrified by how big i’d gotten & proceeded to tell me how my legs were getting fat too etc (I barely put on any weight & was still in a size 8 both pregnancies & after) so the kids went to a party with their nana yesterday & when I walked in to collect them she said ‘you’re getting fat’ I was gobsmacked! & my partner just said to her that there’s no need for that & She went ‘well she is getting fatter’ & laughed about it? A few weeks ago at a family party she mentioned my weight aswell & told me that I looked like shit, her exact words! She then felt my stomach as after having 2 kids I have a bit of an over hang & the rest of the full night I felt self conscious in my dress. Why are they making me feel so awful? I’ve never did anything wrong to them! I’ve blocked all his fam out of my life & told him I don’t want any contact with them, won’t be going to any family party’s or anything again, I’m so done with it! Does anyone else have seriously nasty in laws who just constantly never have anything good to say about you even though you’ve never did anything wrong? Thanks
