Hi could I please have a private post?
What everyone’s views on buying second hand stuff for your child’s birthdays? My little one turns 1 at the end of the month and even though I’ve been putting money aside for a while now I’m still struggling, not everything will be second hand just one or two bigger toys ( a bouncing zebra and an activity table) I fell terrible that I can’t get everything he deserves but it’s just money that I don’t have. Thank in advance for advicex

  • Honestly stop fretting!! He won’t even know! Last year I spent no more than £50 (money wasn’t an issue) on my son but he did have a party, they get enough bought for them when they’re young – when people ask you what he wants tell them what he likes or give them something specific to get x

  • Your 1 year old isn’t gunna care where it has come from. Most of the things you can get second hand are in such good condition, don’t break the bank just so its brand new 🙂

  • If it’s clean & in good working order then your child won’t care if it’s first hand, second hand or an antique…
