Hi everyone can I ask if anyone has ever done a ‘role reversal’ with their partner so u go out to work and they stay at home and look after the kids? My partner mentioned it today as we are now both out of work due to his boss relocating, and I never returned after maternity leave in march due to childcare issues (we have 3 children) only 1 at full time school. He said if I go back to work either 16 or 24 hours then we won’t be affected by the benefit cap which will be a nightmare due to our rent etc. I’m happy to do this as I miss being at work so much and he said he wants to spend more time with the kids but I’m a bit worried he couldn’t handle it as he always seems to still want ‘his time’ aswell. Anyone’s else partner do the childcare? Tia
