Can I check if I’m being cranky or have a right to be peed off?

I had a d&c last Friday as had a missed miscarriage of twins. My hubby had organised with his dad way way before to dogsit for him tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday. OK that’s fine, not a problem. However his dad has phoned everyday since the day of my surgery to check I’m still ‘letting’ my husband go dogsit for him. Not once has he asked if I’m OK or how I’m recovering. Not once had he showed concern that I’m gonna be at home with our two year old and our own dog. The bleeding isn’t too heavy, but I’m still in a fair bit of pain. Of course hubby is still going that’s fine. But I’m pissed off that his dad hasn’t bothered to see if we are OK, or how we are recovering, or even offer to help us (my husband also has multiple sclerosis so this is going to be a rough time on both of us). We can’t have FIL dog here as he’s aggressive and I don’t want my two year old near him. Am I being unreasonable at being peed off. Or just mardy?

  • Maybe he doesn’t know what to say to you. Some men aren’t very good at things like that. He’s also maybe asking in a hint way that if it’s going to be too much for you your partner being away then you should say?? It’s hard to tell as obviously I don’t know him. I think maybe you have a lot going on so are maybe a little over sensitive which is totally understandable. Sorry for your loss
