Hi. I have a child from a previous relationship who has no contact with their Dad (Dad’s choice, not mine). He now has a step child and one on the way. I have no problem with the new partner and the babies, just wondering, what should I do? With regards to telling my child. My child still has contact with other family members, so WILL find out. How and when shall I tell my child about the new baby? I think my child is too young to really understand the situation, but has said a few things to me, like, “*Dad’s name” he calls him by his name, not Dad, “hates me” and “He doesn’t want me” š Just not sure how to handle things and what to do or not do, or say or not say. Any advice would be appreciated. I just think my child deserves to know.
