Hi I’m enquiring if anyone know if me and my partner can claim benefits for his children staying with us?? They stay every other weekend Friday afternoon till late on a sunday. Was told I possibly could but not sure x

Child benefit an tax credits goes to the parent who has the child/ren the majority of the time so if you have them every other weekend no you wouldn’t be entitled to anything x
Why would you recieve benefits for them? I’m sure their mother already does. If anything, he should be paying CSA.

There’s 365 days in a year you have the children 52 days😕 why would you need any benefits? But no you can’t claim.
