Hi lovely could I have a post again please? I know I may get bashed for this. Okay was in a violent relationship for 6 years and one evening after another beating, I ran, basically an ex (we will call him B ) found me as I was just walking around my town as I had nowhere to go. Anyway he really looked after me that night and we ended up dtd (was on the implant), I went home the next morning with the intention to grab my stuff and leave as my ex (call him A) was at work, well he wasn’t. He locked me in our room and raped me, by far the worst thing that’s ever happened to me. Well anyway a few weeks later I found out I was pregnant, was heartbroken. I told A and B, agreed to do DNA when baby was born. Well obviously this gave him reason to him beating me more, he threw me down the stairs the day before baby was due and turned up to the hospital drunk when I gave birth. Eventually I struck up the courage and finally left for good and went to the police. By this point baby was 4 weeks old and B was no longer around and A refused to do a DNA and a member of my family told him when I was registering her to he turned up drunk and claimed himself as her dad. Him and his family have nothing to do with my child now. But my child knows him as her ‘dad’. Well B has told his family and they have messaged asking me to meet my child, they’ve offered to do DNA before they meet. My issue is if it comes back the B is the dad, how do I tell my child (6)? I always knew this day would come. There is only my mom, my partner and A/B that know. Dreading telling my family too as I’ve always been a disappointment to them. I would have done this earlier if I was able to get either of their DNA. Sorry for the long post but my head is in a huge mess. X

  • I think you need to do the DNA and then think further about it. At this point you don’t know so that’s the first step and then you can deal with everything else.

  • The most important thing is finding out who her dad is. It doesn’t matter what anyone thinks. U are doing the right thing
