Hi please can I have a post?
I don’t know how much longer I can cope with no sleep! My baby is 5 months old and sleep is just becoming a massive issue! I used to swaddle her day and night and she would sleep then she’s gone through the sleep regression waking constantly and now I she just fights the swaddle until she wakes and if I don’t swaddle then she wakes herself up with her hands all over her face! She went to bed at 7 tonight and by 10 she was already awake fidgeting crying tossing and turning pulling her dummy out but crying cos she wanted it back and I can’t do it anymore! She’ll be like this all night now! I tried to speak to a HV today and she was no help, I’ve tried comforters and things for her to hold and teething things like anbesol incase it was that but I don’t know what else to do and I barely get any help

  • Ah I remember my boy spitting his dummy out then crying for it 😔😡 feel for you Hun, how about getting a little night light and trying her with some lavender baby bath stuff keep bathroom darkish and quiet give her a bath before bed, make it all chilled and relaxing, bottle before bed for a full tummy and during the day might be hard but try and keep her mind constantly stimulated so she will be exhausted at night x

  • At 5 months they won’t want to be swaddled anymore if I even hold my 6 month olds hand she goes mad, try playing with her and keeping her awake from tea time, a nice warm bath and a cuddle. My eldest was 1 and a half before she slept proper you can’t force them to sleep sadly x
