My exs parents have my children on a Thursday it started off them having them 11-5:30, then they said to me I need to pick them up at 5pm as their tired by that time & had enough so I thought that was fair enough and agreed. The reason they don’t have them til 11:30 is because my exs mum has chrones and says she feels bad in the morning which again is fair enough, anyway…. Fast forward to the next time I dropped them off I turned up and my exs 8year old daughter (who I’d only just found out about was there at the front gate waiting for my children to arrive) I didn’t mind this and do not mind her and my children having a relationship but my problem is … They can’t have my children because she’s I’ll in the mornings yet this child was dropped off at 10am 🤔 anyway… They then said to me I need to pick up the kids even earlier at 4:30pm as they get too tired etc so I again, agreed. When I got their to pick up my children my exs 8yr old was still there and apparently wasn’t being picked up til later (double standards)
Fast forward to the next week I get a text Wednesday night “can’t have children tomorrow dogs fitting don’t think she’ll make it through the night will c u next week” so I was ok with this, I took them round the next week the dog seemed absolutely fine and like nothing had even happened but I just keep my mouth shut.. Then onto the next week I get a text Wednesday night again “can’t have children Thursday its too hot and I’m off to Weymouth c u next week”
Now I use a Thursday to work (I’m self employed) and book people in etc I’m having to cancel clients on a Wednesday night/Thursday morning because their so unreliable and cancel every 5 minutes between March & now they’ve had them 3 times and they’ve cancelled all the other times) so not only am I loosing business, money but I’m starting to look unreliable to my clients which is causing them to look elsewhere for the service.

Now am I being unreasonable to say that I’ve found alternative child care because their too unreliable ? How do u ladies think this sounds and do u think their taking the P***
Also my ex has no contact at all with my children (only the 8yr old as him and her mum r bk together) so the parents having my children at a weekend aren’t a option as he visits weekends. Any advice appreciated on how to firmly but friendly address this! Xx
