Basically my son is three and we’ve just been referred for assessment, concerns mainly point to ADHD and ASD. So my son doesn’t go to bed til anywhere between 9:30-11:30 every night and it’s a constant battle. He usually sleeps through but we rely on that time to relax but were not getting it.
A few people have suggested melatonin and claimed it’s safe but reading up on it I’m not so sure. We’ve been referred to the sleep clinic but I’m not sure it’s worth it. It’s three weeks away and I don’t even know it will work. We’ve tried everything. I’m debating whether to just toss that off and just go straight to the doctors, but also not sure my hv will agree or be happy about it.
Any advice please. And no judgement, we’ve had bad sleeping habits in different forms for 3 years now and we’re just drained.
