Hi there. Could I have a PPP. I’m really struggling with feeling resentment towards my sister. We are both sahms with two kids and a partner/husband. We are both financially similar in that we are both struggling. She belongs to this program that basically gives her whatever she wants for free. She is with this program because she is what they call troubled. She smokes a lot of weed, even during her pregnancies. Both her babies were early and less than 6 pounds because of this. Her house is always a disgusting mess. She’s always ringing me telling me about this amazing program and I just think it’s not fair. She gets free daycare. They gave her a sheet to write all the things she needed for her babies and they just got it for her. All brand new. Whereas my husband and myself struggle to provide for our kids and have to buy everything second hand. She told me the other day that she bought her partner a gaming device worth over $500. I wanted to get the same one for my husband but I couldn’t because we can’t afford it. I’ve talked to her about getting her act together and it has made no difference. I feel frustrated that even though she is perfectly capable of being a responsible parent she gets more rewarded for making stupid life decisions. My husband and I are working hard to set up a life for our kids but she gets more because she’s being irresponsible?! It’s just not fair. Social services have been involved with her before too. I guess I just don’t know how to look past this. Does anyone have any advice? TIA xx
