Hia sorry can I have a ppp.
I really need your help and advice. I’m struggling to deal with my 4 year old at bedtime. I do apologise in advance if it’s long.
She always she used to go to sleep on her own no problem then me or daddy had to sleep next to her until she was asleep, we then brought a radio thing for her to listen to her own stories at bed time. Worked for a month or 2 then back to us sleeping next to her. We tried every night to slowly get out of her room earlier and earlier but she would be in hysterics. So now the last couple of weeks she has been a nightmare for bed. The moment we say it’s bedtime she kicks screams for hours on end! If she plays up (most of the time) we leave the room to try get her to calm down but she kicks and punches the walls and door until we go back in with her. She has bedtime stories to help calm her down but to still doesn’t work. I’ve been in tears the last hour because nothing seems to be working.
Sometimes I think she doesn’t listen to me because when daddies home if I say no he gives in with her so thinks she can get away with it. I just to nip it in the bud now as due number 2 in 9 weeks and I don’t know how I will cope with 2 if she’s like this 😢 what can I do? I’m at the end of my tether and have no idea what to do next! Sorry it’s so long xx

  • Your partner needs to stop giving into your little one .how can you both create boundaries and rules if your partner gives in. I know it’s hard to hear lo get upset but both parents persevering and making sure lo sleeps alone at bed time will make it a lot easier for when baby number two is born. Xx
