Sorry if it’s a bit long winded…x I’m just not sure where else to get advice from.
Have any other mums lost their sex drive after having a baby? I’ve never really had a huge sex drive but myself and my partner used to have sex about 1-2 times per week and were always cuddling, kissing and just being intimate, but since I became pregnant (i lost my drive a couple of weeks before I actually found out I was pregnant) i just haven’t wanted it at all. Now for the embarrassing part…my daughter is now 2, and my sex drive still hasn’t come back! It’s really taking its toll on my relationship with my daughters father, he’s been so patient but now he’s given up (I don’t really blame him!!) but I’m just never in the mood for sex and I’m exhausted in the evenings from work, which is usually when he tends to try it on. We hardly ever have any intimacy at all now, we sit opposite ends on the sofa, he plays PlayStation, I watch tv, we don’t cuddle or kiss except to say goodbye, and we seem to just bicker all the time. He complains if I nag him to do chores on one of his day off, yet if I leave him to it and hope he does something (dishes, quick hoover, anything that needs doing at home) he won’t do it! I can’t seem to win either way, and I don’t think I should be the one to do all the chores on my days off and he gets to chill on his, as I end up having to use both my days off doing chores then have hardly any time for our daughter. I feel so alone most of the time and I’m fed up feeling like this. He works Tues-Sun and I work Mon-Fri, so we only see each other late in the evenings or if we happen to book the same dates off work (which hasn’t actually happened yet as I only started my job a month or so ago, so I’m still on probation at work). Any advice would be appreciated (although anything about role play, dirty chat etc just isn’t us, we’re both pretty vanilla in the bedroom lol)! I’m tempted to see my doctor and check there’s not actually something wrong with me!?x
