So I have 2 children. Daughter 11 son 2. When my daughter was 4 nearly 5 we got her a puppy. They became the bestest friends evan when my son was born she loved him like her own. She the dog named tilly was our daughter too my son and daughters Sister she was apart of our family. (Only dog owner really get the connection which is why I pp) any way she was coming up to 7 human years and she has left us and gone over the rainbow bridge. She was poorly but not in any pain and waited for the children to leave for school. 45 mins later she passed away peacefully cuddled in my arms. I have never lost anyone and it broke my heart. Never mind what my daughter would feel like. She was absolutely heart broken. This happens a week ago. I have noticed my daughter looking at pics of dogs and go ogling dogs for sale. I’ve read her what’s app messages to her friends stating she misses tilly and never wants to replace her but she cnt cope coming home to noone running up to her giving her kisses. She gets upset with food left on her plate that tilly would of eaten. She has said to her friends she would like to give another dog a forever home and give it the love she did to tilly. And that she would not be replacing tilly she will always be remembered but that tilly would want her to b happy and share all the love she has with another dog. What I’m asking as a mum is do u think it’s too soon to get another dog? Have any mummy’s outhe there been in similar situation and what was the out come. I know this isn’t really child or baby related but I would like the help of knowing what’s best to do for my children in this situation. Really sorry for long post but thanks in advance u beautiful mummy’s xxx
