I had a baby 12 mths ago her dad has never wanted contact an has never attempted any contact he was verbally aggressive trying to force an abortion etc an saying nasty vile things via txt then blocked me when baby was 1 week old, now fast forward a year and his step mother has contacted me saying he is denying being the dad but they don’t doubt it but they want a dna done and if the dad refuses she wants a grandfather dna done an they want access to her or they will take me to court, now I have no problem in them getting to know my daughter an being in her life but my concern is she wants unsupervised access which I’m not happy to do to start with or to leave my baby overnight I’m feeling physically sick with worry I have only met this woman once for 1.5 hours, I have said she is welcome to my house anytime or I can meet her once a week or fortnight to build a relationship, does anyone have any knowledge on how much access is fair to offer and what if they get the dna can they use it against me to get the dad access as I’m scared for my daughters safety around him with the verbal abuse and the fact he’s mentally unstable I have mrsssges saying he has tried to top himself, I’m only happy for him to have supervised visits where do I stand please has anyone been through this I’m terrified not eating or sleeping in constant tears they will try to take my baby sorry for long post xx
