I have an 8 week old baby and my partner has just been diagnosed with bipolar.
We have had a difficult relationship and it took him a hell of a long time to admit he needed help and now he has finally got it and is on tablets. Only problem is that my family are dead set against me and him being together and are making life extremely difficult for me. Things have happened in the past when he has lost his temper during one of his outbursts but now he is on meds he is stable, but my family don’t see it that way. It’s got to the point now where I’m having to keep my family separate and it’s hard on me especially with a new baby. Has anyone got any advise on bipolar? Or how to explain it better to my family maybe? I just need some advise from an outsiders perspective. Thank you x
