I have my 20 week scan on Tuesday and really unsure on whether to find out if baby is a boy or a girl. Who found out and who kept it as a surprise till birth? If you had reasons for finding out or keeping it a surprise what were they? I’m really undecided but know I need to make a decision soon. Thanks xx

  • Don’t get your hopes up some hospitals don’t tell you sex now I had to have a private scan with one of mine … but I found out with all 5 kids and glad I did as I could prepare the other kids get them involved etc x

  • Hospital won’t write it down for you, they ain’t aloud.

I found out in summer, but I left the room and my mum went in to find out and I had a gender reveal party. I thought it was amazing to find out like that, such a special moment.
Melisa is right, there really isn’t much in neutral at all! Xx

  • We kept it a surprise as we didn’t want to know what it was.
We went through ivf treatment to conceive our little girl and to us it didn’t matter what sex it was – we waited for a baby for so long that we decided another 20ish weeks to find out what it was wasn’t gonna hurt ☺️💖 xx

  • I found out with both of mine so I could buy stuff. I know you can buy neutral colours but I don’t think there’s much choice and a baby is expensive so spreading the cost over a few months is better x

  • If your not sure u could ask them to write it and put it in an envelope for u and open if and when u like or have a gender reveal and find out that way. X
