Is anyone else taking iron tablets subscribed by the doctors for low iron levels? I had my bloods done and was taking 1 iron tablet a day and they were 28 so low end of normal, doctor asked me to start taking two a day to get my levels up into the higher end of normal between 90-100 but my bloods have just came back as 38 so increased slightly but now where the doctor wants them to be. Has anyone else been in a similar situation and did anything help?

  • If your having heavy periods they’ll stay consistently low. See about a coil to stop your bleeding for a few months to get them back up. Lots of iron rich foods to supplement the tablets. It took about a year to get mine in a normal range. X
