Just looking for some opinions, not baby related.
My partner received an email from his mum saying she was unhappy with the amount we spent on a family member for their birthday and in future she expects family members to receive more. I am absolutely fuming because I was brought up to not expect presents and to be grateful if I got a present. We spent around £40 on the family members birthday before and went on holiday a few days after so couldn’t afford much, am I being unreasonable? Don’t wanna cause issues with the family but I just think that attitude is disgusting and I want nothing to do with any presents given in future if they aren’t going to be grateful, TIA xx

It shouldnt be about the amount i was brought up with the attitude its the thought that counts how rude of her !!
