May i have a PPP?
Ok, so im a first time mum too my beautiful 8 Month old daughter. She has been a wrapped baby since birth. Being a first time Mummy, i thought it was a MUST too wrap your baby. But if i had of knows that you don’t have too, i would literally turn back time. Some will say that there it’s not a big deal, and some probly won’t understand but I’m literally baffled! I have absolutely no idea at all what to do and i will admit, i probly am stressing a bit too much, but this has brought me to tears! I can NOT put her too sleep unless she is wrapped! I have literally tried EVERYTHING and i mean EVERYTHING! I have bought ridiculous amounts of different types of swaddles and sleeping bags, tried the whole “leaving one arm out” or not wrapping her as tight. In saying all this, she has been showing signs the last 2 Months that she doesn’t want too be wrapped, however if i leave her completely unwrapped, she fiddles too the point she is screaming/crying. And yes, i have tried letting her go, but after 45 minutes, i give in. I know most will say that she will eventually fall asleep, but i would rather not have her screaming and crying for 45 minutes straight. The only way she stays asleep is if she is wrapped, but without fail, she will get her arm out and wake herself up or she will be completely unwrapped by morning if she hasn’t woken up in the middle of the night crying. I know it’s no big deal that she is still wrapped, but I’m almost certain that if sge wasn’t wrapped and slept comfortably, she would get a better nights sleep and better during the day. I suppose I’m looking for multiple opinions. Do i just let it go? Is she too old to be wrapped? Has anyone else had this or am I the only one? Do i just let her do it on her own? It’s just a struggle sometimes, and i feel it’s an unnecessary struggle because most babies her age that i know of are no longer wrapped. I really really shouldn’t let this get too me but i suppose I’m more frustrated then anything. Sorry for the long post xx
