Morning! Please can I have a private post?
When there’s two of you, who gets up with the kids?!
My partner works 8-4 Mon-Fri, (his work is 5 mins drive) I work Thurs-Sat 9hr shifts between 8:30&8:30 (takes me 45 mins on bus) we both do equal amounts of housework etc but he NEVER gets up with our 2 year old!!! Regardless of who’s in work or not, I get up with her 7 days a week, which can be any time from 6am. I always give him an extra long lie in on a Sunday. He’s never done this for me… I’m also heavily pregnant… so when’s my rest?! Our daughter woke up at 8 today which is plenty for me, but rather than him get up with her (mini lie in rather than getting up at 6 like I normally do!) or even all of us getting up together to start the day as I’ve been working overtime at weekends recently, he made me feel guilty that it wasn’t late enough for him so I got up with LO again and he’s gone back to sleep!! …. am I wrong to be frustrated?! I feel like he’s taking the mick 😣
