My son is in my 100% custody. This is the first time that me and he’s father have organised for him to have him for week, Picking up on Friday and bringing back the following Saturday.
He has only just recently started paying child support, every Friday, privately.
My question is, is he still obligated ( obviously I can’t make him do anything because it is private ) to pay me child support during the time he has our son, ( the Friday he takes him and the day before he brings him home ) or does he not have to pay because our son will be in his care for that week?

I would say it depends how it’s calculated. Personally I wouldn’t expect him to pay however if you were thru child maintenance for example, the calculations are done on an average of how many nights each party has the child and this is built into it. As you arrangement is private I’d say no, you want to maintain a healthy relationship with child and parent and money shouldn’t come into that equation when it’s minor in comparison x
Well I would say, he should be able to refrain from paying one payment, however not both. After all, it’s 8 days he is having him, not two weeks. So, if he keeps the money on the first Friday when he collects your son, so he has it to spend on him, however pays you the following Saturday (perhaps 6/7ths ) as you will have him the following week. Hope that makes sense ??
I wouldn’t expect him to pay as he’s got your child. Seeing as child support is for what that child needs, there’s nothing he needs whilst in your care for that week so I’d tell him to keep it and spend it on what’s needed while at his house.
I wouldn’t ask for it although even when my lad is at his dads regardless if longer than planed he always pays it we have never discussed it to be honest
No he doesn’t have to. My ex started having my daughter more so I dropped the maintenance down to 80 a month to reflect him having her every weekend x
I would say he doesn’t have to as he will be buying food ect for your son while his there . As long as he provides everything your son needs for the week x
Nope, as he pays you weekly, and he’s there for a week, and he’s gonna have to be buying extra food, clothes etc for him, I’d tell him not to worry paying that week
I would say that you should pay support to him the week he has him.

Id say he doesn’t have to ad he needs to get the food gas n electric for your child whilst he is at his..
