Please post anonymously. I am trying to split up with my partner if 4 years who is controlling and sulky. I have gained a lot of weight over the past few years and he has said he doesn’t find me attractive and won’t come near me. I know I don’t want to be with him. He is not the father of my young children but they do love him to bits and it will break their heart to see us separate. I know we are not happy together but when I have asked him to leave previously, he sulks and gets upset and makes me feel sorry for him! I don’t want to go through another break up but I know it’s not working! I don’t want to break the kids hearts though . How do I break up and stop feeling sorry for him?

  • Stick to you’re ground. He’s controlling you by sulking. Tell him to leave and don’t change you’re mind. Sucks but you’re kids will get over it. If you’re unhappy then I’m sure your kids will be better without him ( a happier mummy )

  • You either want be with him or you don’t? If you care that much about his feelings maybe you arnt ready … but I’d definitely tell him how he’s making you feel and tell him change or he’s walking
