Pp please Hi just wondering if anyone has been through anything similar? 6 weeks ago my 4 year old son was hit by a car and broke his tibia and fibula completely so the bones were snapped and dropped. He was put to sleep and had them manipulated back into place then put in a full cast none weight bearing for the first 4 weeks, then half pot since. The X-ray has showed his bones have slipped back out of place and have 1 & 1/2 cm over hang. The consultant is hopeful bone will grow and correct this with him been so young and the fact his bones are still growing. He has just been put in a removable below knee cast, and 2 days ago a small dent appeared on his leg which is still there now! It isn’t off his pot because he has had it off , and I’ve also noticed since the swelling has gone down his leg looks bowed, like a banana shape. I rang the hospital and they’ve moved his appointment forward to Monday (earliest appointment available) to check his leg. Just wondered if anyone has experienced any of these things after a break and if everything was ok? I’m worried sick waiting for Monday. Thanks in advance pics attached x
