PP please.
I’m looking for someone who has experienced something similar and their outcome.
I have been hearing voices for a few months, some said good things, some bad. Recently I had a psychotic episode which has resulted in my children being removed from my care and care proceedings from the local authority. The diagnosis I was given was ‘stress and anxiety induced psychosis’, however I feel this is wrong and I’m being fobbed off.
Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this? What was your diagnosis?
Were your children returned to your care?

Hi there, I’ve been through similar except for the psychotic episode. I went to my doctor who I trusted and it was still difficult telling her everything. She referred me to a psychologist who thought either bpd or depression with psychotic features. I’m currently waiting for another psychologist to get back in touch and to be referred for dbt.
I’d say seeking help out from a trusted medical professional would be a big help. But ultimately they shouldn’t have just dumped any old diagnosis on you and left it at that. You need proper support and help. Hope you get supported soon x
I know of people experiencing mental health problems and having their children returned to them, they ve then received lots of support as well.
