I’m desperate for advice..
I’ll keep this short as poss but so much has happened. Basically I have a 6yr old, her dad is as useless as they come spends all his time drinking lost his job due to drink driving in work vehicle doesn’t turn up to see her doesn’t call her nothing. His absence was affecting her so much it was worrying me sick couldn’t sleep for worrying. His way of not looking bad is telling everyone I stop him seeing her and saying he will take me to court. So I arranged a contact centre so it’s all on record that I am trying my best for my daughter to see her dad but due to the alcohol issue I don’t feel it’s safe for him to have her alone. Me and him are both due to have our interviews at the contact centre on Saturday but now I’m questioning it all. It’s been 7 weeks since he seen her he hasn’t tried he hasn’t called does t ask how she is (hasn’t payed csa since before xmas) he lives in the street behind me so takes 30 seconds to get to my house. Now for the past say 3 of 4 weeks she has been a different little girl she’s so happy and settled mentions him occasionally but nothing major. She’s got such a strong bond with her step daddy she’s his whole world and he says all the time he wishes she was his and he sees her as his own. I’m worried that her dad coming back in to her life is Guna unsettle her again and be a massive step back from where she is now. He hasn’t bothered so clearly isn’t fussed about it and she’s not missing out on a father because she has one in her step dad. I just want to do what’s right by her I don’t care about his rights as a dad as far as im.converned he doesn’t deserve the name dad but I need to do what’s best for her. What would u all Do??
