Hey, can somebody give me some advice please,

Ok.. so I have 2 children to my ex (oldest not biologically his as we got together when my 7 year old was 2) and we was living up north (where my children was born and I was born) their father is from the south, but we all was living up North, then after our relationship broke down he decided to move back down south (over 300 miles away) after about a year me and my children moved so they could see their father more, we have been here for a year and we are planning on moving back (me and my children) which my ex did text me saying “it would be for the best anyways” and now I’ve started the changes of school he’s now saying he’s taking me to court 🤔 I’m on benefits, he works full time and gets nearly £2000 a month and now he’s saying I need to pay 50/50 on his travel and accommodation when he visits (he drives, I don’t) which is obviously going to be hard for me to do? Will they expect me to pay? Even though I have messages that say it’s for the best and messages that I sent saying I will never stop him seeing boys he’s always welcome to take them down south for a holiday and welcome to see them anytime?
