PPP. ….

Hi so been talking about trying for a baby with my boyfriend but I have manic depression and anxiety I already have a baby from a previous relationship… all this mental health stuff didn’t show until after I had my LB but I was also in a violent relationship
I feel fine and I’m very very happy…

My boyfriend is concerned with my depression though
How can I go about showing him I’m really ok and fine? Is there a mental health assessment I can do?
I know I’d have to speak to my GP about my Anti-D’s anyway?

Any advice would be so much appreciated thank you 😊 x

  • Just make sure this is what you really want as you will have to go off all meds and that mite make your illness worse, am in the same place at the minute it’s really hard coming of meds but I keep thinking about my little baby xx I wish u all the best x

  • Manic depression is bipolar and if u want another baby speak to your gp and they will contact your consultant who u see for your bipolar and they will advice u what’s the best and safe meds to be taken and also watch and monitor to make sure u don’t swing from highs and lows with u being pregnant all your hormones r all over the place anyway so it could trigger your bipolar of xxxx

  • Speak to your dr. I have bpd and am currently pregnant with my third. They have said there is medication i can take if I want to. I’m also to see the midwife more often but as far as I’m aware that’s down to where you live. Talk to your partner and dr and if you have mental health services involved speak to them xx
