Ppp! I had a strange row with my parents today, they asked if I could take them to the station tomorrow. Not normally a major issue but it’s a half hour round trip for me and 10 mins for them to the station if they got a taxi. I don’t mind doing this if I don’t have anything else on, even though I do find it strange, they. can well afford a taxi and I would never ask them to trek across town when it would take less than 1/2 the time to get a taxi. We are family of 4 with 2 young kids and 1 day off per week together as a family and so I said I wasn’t sure if I would be able to help as I had a lot of stuff to fit in tomorrow. We are also a 1 car family and my hubby doesn’t drive. My dad got very angry at this and said I didn’t have anything confirmed so I could take them if I wanted. He then proceeded to say that I never do anything for them and got stroppy and said forget it, amongst other things he said that he liked me coming round on Saturdays but that I wasn’t always pleasant… and that they do everything for us (we very rarely go out, once every 2-3 months we might ask to babysit, my brother does it much more regularly) which honestly I have no idea what is going on, it’s really not like him, it’s more like my mum to be like this, he’s usually on my side in this situation. It’s hard to see when you aren’t involved but am I being unreasonable?
