PPP my children haven’t had any contact with their biological father since 2014, he was very abusive and violent towards me and ss said that he wasn’t allowed any contact. We went through family court and the court agreed he was too violent to have any physical contact with the kids until the age of 18 but allowed him indirect contact in the form of a letter or card once a month. He’s never once sent them a card or letter, no Christmas cards and birthday cards no letters, nothing. The children are in his name at the moment but I want to change their surname to mine, obviously he would never agree to this. If he’s had no contact at all and because of the violence I wouldn’t even be able to request it to him myself is their anything I could do?
