  • Courts will find out where she lives…they go thru child benefit/tax credits. Cafcass will be involved and they will talk to the kids (if they are old enough). Courts go along with what cafcass says most of the time x

  • I don’t think you can get legal aid anymore unless there’s been domestic violence. I’m not trying to be rude, but if you haven’t seen her in 6 months, why haven’t you saved that £200 for a court order in that space of time or even went to a solicitor to see about your options? 😕

  • Can I just ask why it’s taken you 6 months to even start looking at court? If you wanted to see your child that badly you would have gone straight away and £200 isn’t that much I went through court and spent over £10,000 money I didn’t have but was leant it if your child means that much you’d pay whatever

  • If you’re on a low income, you can fill in a form to get into court and there’s another form to waive the fees. Legal aid is only available for domestic violence. I’ve been through it all myself. Join a group called father’s for justice on Facebook. They will tell you which forms you need exactly. If he’s on the birth certificate he can keep her until you get to court. X

  • You can represent your self in court so don’t need to pay solicitors fees and their is a fee to waive the cost of the hearing. Just go straight to the court, explain the situation and get a court date asap. Good luck x

You will have to go to mediation before you go to court if the mediator dont think it will work they will sign a form for you to go to court
