Ppp. Need some advice on step dads. Me and my partner live together and have a baby together. My other children live with us except every second weekend. I’ve tried to get him to take the other kids out for ice cream today so that I can shower and do a little cleaning. I was going to keep the baby with me. I’m exhausted and I have post natal depression I can’t go out in public without this shower my hair needs washed. He’s said that he’s not taking them because I won’t be there. He won’t be alone with them because my eldest daughter is a handful sometimes and argues. She’s 9. We argued because I am so tired and fed up I really need a minute to myself. He then went on to say that the kids should go to me for everything because I’m their parent. I thought since he lives with me he’d be taking on some of the responsibility but it’s still all me. We’ve lived together over a year now and he still can’t take them anywhere or do anything fun with them if my eldest is there. I thought I’d be entitled to a break for an hour here or there surely having a step dad around who is the dad to my youngest? Thank you for reading
