PPP. Since being pregnant with my daughter who is now 18mths old I have had a bad case of external hemmeroids which are about 2-3cm in size hanging from the back passage. Iv been seen by two consultants and given two different pieces of advice. The first consultant told me that i have internal and external hemmeroids which can be looked at to get surgically removed on the NHS. The second consultant told me at my follow up appointment that I only have internal hemmeroids but the external ones are called “skin tags” which the NHS will not pay to get removed as getting skin tags removed is classed as cosmetic surgery. I was wondering if anyone has any idea how much would it cost to get those removed as it’s not only causing me stress and anxiety but also affecting my relationship. I’m due for another appointment in august to get the internal hemmeroids sorted out. The external hemmeroids cause me discomfort and pain, I’m unable to wear any decent underwear have to wear size 18 granny pants so it’s really caused me low self confidence and self worth.. the last consultant I saw wasn’t helpful at all and just fobbed me off saying they can’t do anything for me unless I pay a lot of money
