Does anyone else use reins/wrist straps with their young children? Personally i need to as my 3 year old has long since outgrown a pram and I want him to get used to walking with me before his baby sister arrives as she’ll obviously be using one. I cant help but feel like some sort of slave driver when were out. the way some people look at me is as if i’m doing something awful with him. If i didnt use them he constantly runs away from me and could end up in the middle of a road before I can catch him (especially with me being pregnant). Am i missing a trick? Is there a way i can get him used to walking without using them or is it just a case of ignoring everyone else? Thank you x

I have the backpack with reins and all the old people round by me are always praising me for using them. Personally I wouldnt worry too much about what people think as theres always going to be people that disagree x
I used a wrist strap with my son. Just ignore everyone else. The safety of your child comes first
I used backpack reigns with my daughter they were a God send she walked nicer and better with those then anything else x
I have this issue I’m getting one of those backpacks with the strap attached xx
