I’m so furious! I got a letter today from tax credits to say I have been over paid! I only applied when I was pregnant with my son get a bit of help. I renewed last year when I thought I wasn’t entitled to anything. They told me I was as because I had been on maternity leave it took my wages down to where I could get a little bit of help! I got £45 a month and now I’ve renewed again I have been told I owe £505 back- basically all the payments they gave me last year! This has now put me in a bad financial situation when I didn’t even want to re apply for them last year! How can they do this! They give me money every month to then ask for it back in a lump sum! I just think it’s such bad organising!!!! 😡
