if your grandparents take your childs birth certificate into a bank to open an account for your child. do they keep the birth certificate or do they photo copy it and give it back straight away? NEED ADVICE

The grandparents take it to prove it’s for a child account and then you get it back x my mum did it for my son. Not sure if the bank photocopies it though but it is needed
They can open account and they get it straight back, my mum opened my nephews one the same time as i opened twinnies. They defo wouldnt keep it x

They get it back. The bank will photocopy it my dad opened a ISA for both my children x
Banks don’t keep original documents x
bank wont keep it might take copy for file but its only for proof of id
