Hello please can I have a private post?

I’m under 20 and just left a violent relationship to protect my baby. He’s due in court soon etc. I really don’t want to put him on the birth certificate as he can just take my baby and me and the police will have no say in what happens, after him being so nasty and violent for so long I have decided he isn’t allowed around baby until he can prove he isn’t going to harm baby, when the police interviewed him they said he didn’t care at all he beat me when I was pregnant and that I’m carrying his child and I shouldn’t put him in the birth certificate, I feel I am protecting baby by keeping him away and keeping him off the birth certificate for now but my family are saying he should be on the birth certificate? Please give you’re opinions but please be nice. I am a first time mum and really need to protect my child!
