Private post please, just wondering can you have pre-eclampsia without having all the symptoms? Just a few? If so will doctors listen if you don’t have all the symptoms? Any stories or advice please πŸ™‚

  • I didn’t know I had pre eclampsia until I went into hospital to have my little girl ; from about 32 weeks I kept being sick every night then I remember a few times my face went all blotchy and red and when I told my midwife she said it just one of those things ….then my waters broke at home and I remember I felt really rough all of sudden ,went into hospital to be checked then they checked my urine sample and saw I had loads of protein in it and then they told me i was suffering from pre eclampsia 😩 my little girl was born 5 days early but my labour was horrible had to be induced and kept being prodded and poked πŸ™ˆ xx

  • I didn’t realise I had pre-eclampsia only until midwife did routine check as was coming to the end of pregnancy and I had high protein in my pee and high blood pressure then got sent to hospital for more checks and that’s when they realised it’s the early stages of it then got induced the same night….next day had bubba ☺

  • Yes you can I developed it really quick at 27 weeks with no symptoms except high bp and protein, I was delivered at 28 weeks only on the day I was delivered did I get headaches or swellings! they can check for it in your blood work, I’m pregnant with my second and 32 weeks, they do my bloods weekly to check and always ring if I have a worry I’m seen straight away! Ring them if your concerned xxx

  • At 36 weeks I was rushed to the labour suite, I went to triage with reduced movements next thing I knew I had a cannula inserted and was being prepared to deliver my daughter. I felt absolutely fine apart from worrying about her lack of movements at time I arrived my blood pressure was 201/180 my placenta was failing. I honestly felt well I wasn’t swollen didn’t have a headache nothing, but if I hadn’t had gone about her reduced movements she would have died x

  • I went for my 34 week check with no symptoms, felt fine, checked my blood pressure & they called an ambulance to take me straight from 1 hospital to another. Had to be induced a week later. My only symptoms were high blood pressure & then they did a 24 hour urine collection, that’s when they decided to induce me
