My mum offered to buy a crib for our baby. We looked at a few and my partner in particular liked the next to me ones. I discussed with my mum but she said it was a bit out of her price range so we agreed on something else.
Well since then my partner went back to his family and told them my mum was refusing to buy what we wanted. So instead his sister bought the next to me crib.
Now I don’t know what to say to my mum, i know she’ll be offended as she wanted to buy baby’s crib and will be upset that she couldn’t afford exactly what we wanted.
I got annoyed with my partner for going behind my back and I told him it wasn’t nice to tell his family stuff about my mum.
He says I’m being ungrateful, which I’m not, I just think if my mum offered you can’t ‘demand’ what gift to get.
