Really needing some advice. Been with my fella for 18 months. We both have two kids each, he’s getting to know mine well, but I’m really struggling with his. Because of their routines with their mums, I only get to see them once or twice a month. As much as I want it, I’m really struggling to form a bond with them. I try my hardest to speak to them, they blank me. Just been in park trying to play football with all four kids, they just kick the ball past me rather then to me. Tried doing activities with them, pamper time (they’re girls) but they just aren’t interested. I don’t want to give up but its hard to keep trying when they blank me when I talk. They are 7 and 8 so going to be joining us on outings for long time yet so need to figure it out. Anyone else got any suggestions? I know it has to come from me to make the effort but running out of ways to try. Keep getting sly comments off their dad saying I am not as close to them as he is mine, which I agree. But because my two are always with me, he sees them more. Very hard to bond with kids when you only see them for little amounts. Any help would be grateful please x
